Our research group aims to deepen our understanding of the atmospheric motion of the Earth and planets, mainly from the viewpoint of dynamics. We welcome students who are interested in atmospheric dynamics and numerical calculations.
On Friday mornings and afternoons, we have a seminar of research presentations in our laboratory and a seminar of lectures on English textbooks on meteorology. In the fiscal-year 2024, we have read
Vallis, G. K. (2017): Atmospheric and Oceanic Fluid Dynamics (2nd ed.). Cambridge University Press , 964pp.
In the fiscal-year 2025, we will read
Achatz, U. (2022): Atmospheric Dynamics. Springer, 568pp.
